The Forrest - Short Animation
You know that feeling after a busy week, sat at the computer, when you finally manage to get out into nature and you look up at the trees and... aaaaahhh instant calm! I really wanted to capture that feeling in a short animation. It was fun to play with flat layers in a 3D space to create an environment inside of After Effects that has depth, light and shadow.

To make this video, I painted the individual layers in procreate, stacked them in 2.5D space in After Effects and composited in some light and particles.
